Serving on the JCC Student Senate for the 2023-24 academic year are Skyela Banse-Fay, 奇迹Berakah, 丹尼尔·冈萨雷斯, and Pablo Luis Guzman Morales, all of Jamestown; Momen Dahab of Cairo, Egypt; Alyssa Drozdiel of Westfield; Willow Daly-Griffen of South Dayton; Isabella Haskell of Ellicottville; Julianna Grace Main of Frewsburg; Thomas Marsalis of Mayfield Heights, 俄亥俄州; and Jayla Sparks of Canton, 俄亥俄州. 

SUNY Jamestown 社区 College is finding its place in several online ranking websites that aim to help students make informed decisions when choosing a college. Many of the ranking systems that have recognized SUNY JCC note the affordability of earning a degree, and flexibility of scheduling classes.

学术事务, announced the 40 students who were awarded degrees or certificates from the Jamestown and Cattaraugus County campuses of SUNY Jamestown 社区 College in Summer 2023. Six students earned highest honors (4.0 GPA), 12 earned high honors (3.50-3.99 GPA), and five earned honors (3.25-3.49 GPA).

The term “broke college student” is often used with resigned acceptance, as many people think this state is normal when pursuing a college degree.

SUNY Jamestown 社区 College’s 2023 Foundation Awards Gala is scheduled for Nov. 1 at the Chautauqua Harbor Hotel in Celoron. 

SUNY Jamestown 社区 College offers students a wealth of resources and support to help them overcome any number of physical and mental health obstacles. 

没有游泳池, the college’s coordinator of 可访问性 Services, said 13% of JCC students are receiving assistance for an identified disability and are receiving assistance. Pool also stressed the opportunity for more students to get the help they need to succeed in and out of the classroom.

It would take students at SUNY Jamestown 社区 College at least two hours to drive to visit the Corning Museum of Glass. A glimpse of the contemporary glass art and design found at the museum is coming this fall to the college. 

SUNY Jamestown 社区 College is participating in national Gaining Early Awareness and Readiness for Undergraduate 项目 this week. GEAR UP is a college access program that provides students and families with support and resources needed for college success. 

Five members of the SUNY Jamestown 社区 College faculty received promotions prior to the start of the 2023-2024 academic year.
